The American sports giant doesn’t stop with its innovations, ranging from a brand new immersed experience in-store to an amazing sneaker treasure hunt! And it’s just the beginning of new (sneakers) adventures.
Despite the pandemic, Nike opened the doors a few months ago of a brand new concept store located – a 2,400 square meter shop on four floors – on the Champs Elysées in Paris. The Nike House Of Innovation in Paris immediately presented itself as a cutting-edge flagship that offers its customers an immersive experience. After its former sisters in New York and Shanghai, the French capital is the third city to host this magnificent concept, which aims to showcase the brand’s latest innovations in terms of products, but also in terms of digital and merchandising. The different levels are spacious and use a lot of glass with numerous mannequins – with various body shapes – highlighted in particular by the use of neon lights. And the environmental impact in all this? Nike decided to use 85 tons of sustainable materials and therefore move forward in its eco-responsible approach, baptized “Move To Zero”.
Customers can benefit from unique services – by diving into this totally reinvented customer experience- which encourages personalized consumption more than ever before. Today, Nike invites its customers to live more than an experience, an adventure. “Nike Paris represents our commitment to creating inspiring venues that at the same time offer the most innovative products for all athletes,” said Heidi O’Neill, President of Consumer and Marketplace.
“By entering the House of Innovation, consumers will experience our most immersive retail concept in a fully personalized way, connecting them to the world of Nike through their relationship with our brand, through our digital portfolio. »
Nike decided to transform its store into a real expedition field with their brand new ACG Winter 2020 release – which brings together the world of outdoor and performance, while being inspired by the mountains of Smith Rock, Oregon. By going there, you’ll find first at the entry the “Mission Control” – that connects all the sports fan at a local and international scale -, then the “Bra Fit by Nike” for a personalized woman experience, the “shoe Fit by Nike” and the cherry on the cake, the possibility to register your sizing information. And last but not least, Nike doesn’t forget the teens with the “Kid Pod” proposing interactive games and playful fitting space. And, even if it’s a physical store, they will offer digital services such as the “Buy Online, Reserve in Store, Nike Scan to Learn, Nike Scan to Try, and Nike Shop the Look”.
Lastly, they’ve created a daring and original device that is already available at the Nike House Of Innovation called “ACG BASE CAMP” where customers are welcome to “sign up as a Nike Member to search for hidden QR codes in the store to find and unlock an adventurer checklist that will allow access to the ACG treasure and exclusive guide. This totally looks like an indoor treasure hunt adventure… So who’s in to play? It’s up to you!
What’s next for the year 2021?
For all the sneakers fans, be prepared. As usual, from June 21st to June 25th, the Men Fashion Week Homme is held in Paris – that put the French capital in total effervescence. Nike didn’t wait and decided to take advantage of the event to make up its own show – exploiting a discipline they’ve always thrilled in: basketball- by unveiling an exclusive series of models and collaborations that will delight any sneakerhead. We will be able to find – for our greatest pleasure – the flagship’s models which most of them will be revisited: the Air Force 1 SF, Air Force 1 Jewel, Air Force 1 Vandal x John Elliott, Air Jordan II x Converse, Secret Air Force 1, and a redesigned pair of the Shake N’Destrukt x Pigalle.
Now, let’s discover the game rules.
Nike decided to split up each of its pairs in famous places in Paris such as Pigalle Basketball, Colette… and numerous other places that are still being kept secret. This is a real treasure hunt where we will have the opportunity to discover real gems signed by Nike. Each day is dedicated to a particular model and has its own event, its own place, and its own collaboration. Now, you ask yourself, but how can I know where to go? It’s really simple! All you have to do is register directly on the site to find out and get the information you need in a timely manner. It’s up to you to choose which sneakers you like best to find out where they are. Of course, because Nike never does things by halves: the brand has also prepared its own map to easily locate specific sneakers in order to prepare your best plan of action for you. And to top everything, the Air Jordan – the pair that everyone has in their closet – will be present. Finally, to close this event in the most beautiful way, Nike has concocted the crème de la crème by unveiling a pair of Air Jordan 12 sneakers in collaboration with the New York brand PSNY.
Now, who can say that Nike is not an innovative brand with plenty of wonderful ideas? They’ve managed to preserve the environment and remodel the original Fashion Week in its own way with suspense and the support of all sneakers addicts.
