“ModelLand” is a new modeling theme park opening in Santa Monica on May 1st. Model, coach and business-woman, Tyra Banks, describes the attraction on her website as a place “where everyone can live the ultimate modeling fantasy.”
A first of its kind park to emulate the world of modeling and give guests a taste of what that looks like as well as promoting body positivity.
The park features a story-driven, 21,000-square-foot, a multi-level site where guests participate in the latest fashions, beauty, photoshoots, runways, shopping and more. Guests will receive a personal digital lookbook with photos they took that day as well as the ultimate photoshoot experience; professional tips and poses, customized lighting and access to the “ModelLand” experiential closet and this is all just for a general admission ticket.
Tickets are now on sale with the ‘Fantascene Dream,’ the ultimate package, costing up to $1,500. That price is higher than most attractions but this package includes major VIP treatment with personal consultations beforehand, additional wardrobe changes, high fashion designer styling, and photos and goodie bags with “ModelLand” merchandise.
Don’t let the ultimate package price discourage you from visiting the attractions, general admission and smaller packages sell for lower prices ranging between $60-$600 and you’re paying for the overall experience, so it’s a “what you put in is what you’ll get out of it” type of situation.
Banks’ reason behind putting the park together is to embrace beauty in all shapes and sizes. Working in the modeling world for some time, she’s seen and experienced the way beauty is portrayed in the media and in society. Opening this park and giving people who aren’t supermodels a chance to feel like a Victoria Secret model, is the premise of the park.
