This surprising pair of Jordan which is covered with multicolored textile has been Revealed during the Super Bowl 54’s celebration by the Colombian Reggaeton star at the beginning of February.
For a couple of years now, the international Colombian artist J. Balvin has been dominating the U.S. at the top of the charts. So, it’s not a surprise that the big brand, Nike is interesting in doing a new collaboration with him, as more and more artists are contracted to carry out a collaboration with these major brands as they do with the athletes. He confessed that in his tender childhood in Columbia, his American peers offered him the famous Jordan1 shoe. Therefore, since he was a child, it is a pair that he has been particularly fond of. Thus, Jordan Brand came to him and offered him to collaborate on this timeless model to seal his love with it.
This Jordan 1 reflects J. Balvin’s mind, known for having a really colored style. We saw him wearing this pair when he was performing, like a rainbow on his feet. The canvas vamp mixes blue, green, yellow, and orange in a gradation which reminds us of a sunset over the sea. This pair is really eclectic because firstly he decided to apply a very unique color code, And secondly, he deconstructs the model by adding layers of canvas overlapping and sometimes cut round, like small clouds or more precisely like sun rays. Furthermore, there are many other details we must highlight like an apparent foam tab or a Velcro smiley face. Everything is laid on a white sole which contrasts with the black laces and the assorted ankle tour.
