Rihanna has a unique yet creative sense of style that has inspired many in the fashion world. She is the designer behind her collection, Fenty by Puma, and also ventured into the television world to executive produce a competitive fashion design show, Styled to Rock, which allowed talented contestants, hand-picked by yours truly, the opportunity to create outfits for A-list celebrities every week.
The musician/fashion mogul has invested a lot into the fashion industry and continues to acknowledge and wear underground designers’ pieces. Her impeccable crafts have truly touched the lives of students who attend Parsons School of Design in NYC. Therefore, Parsons is looking forward to giving back to the one and only Bad Gal, as they recently announced her as one of the honoree’s at the school’s 69th annual benefit, alongside Neiman Marcus and Eileen Fisher.
“It’s such a thrill to know that a design school as prestigious as Parsons School of Design would present me with this honor,” said Rihanna. “I consistently find creative and exciting designs coming from Parsons alumni, so I feel a deep connection to the school. But I am especially grateful that Parsons would recognize me for the work I’ve done in regards to philanthropy.” Rihanna
Parsons benefit is set to take place in NYC at Pier 60 on May 22.
