Out with the old, in with the new. Get ready to upgrade your wardrobes with Kanye West’s latest ready-to-wear collection, Fall 2017 Yeezy Season 5.
The rapper’s Yeezy collection is always one of the most anticipated shows during fashion week, and this time around Pier 59 was the place to be. The room inside the venue that hosted the show looked like a blackout, as the dark room had very minimal lighting and was set to focus only on presenting his new collection. A black wall occupied the center of the runway, which unexpectedly lit up in the beginning of the show and revealed his collection, similar to a projection of a live video look book. The sounds of The Dream’s reference track to J. Holiday’s “Bed” filled the air on repeat, and once the video was over, the room faded to black before the models came out to present the looks.
Yeezy also managed to pull the unforeseen, and did not make an appearance at the end of the fashion show, like all designers do.

Mr. West also took the opportunity to debut his new Yeezy runner sneakers, which gives off a 1990s feel and accents his street-wear collection. No word yet on when they will be releasing but fans are already going crazy over them.
