The New Directors/New Film Festival will take place until today (Apr. 8th) at MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art, in New York City.
According to the Film Society at Lincoln Center, the New Directors/New Films festival “introduces New York audiences to the work of emerging filmmakers from around the world.”
The festival, in its 47th year, is showing many feature films as well as shorts, including a biopic on rapper M.I.A. (Matangi/Maya/M.I.A.), a young man’s search for his birth father (Djon África), and a “modern reworking of the tale of Jason and the Argonauts” from the Chinese perspective (An Elephant Sitting Still).
Tickets for the event can be found here.
