Since 1962, wrestling has been known to be part of the family. Taking the first steps in becoming another knockout in the ring, Dwayne Johnson’s daughter wrestles with her career choice as she follows her family’s footsteps.
This past Monday, WWE announced that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s 18-year-old daughter, Simone, has begun training to “become a WWE Superstar.”
Not just following her father’s footsteps but also her grandfather, Rocky Johnson and great grandfather “High Chief” Peter Maivia, Simone, is the first fourth-generation wrestler to join WWE.
“It meant the world to me,” said the 18-year-old to WWE. “To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle, but also to carry on that legacy”
Announcing her new career, Simone also broke the news on twitter.
For the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & was determined to make this dream a reality – this is for you. I’m beyond thankful for this opportunity & ready to get after it.

Proud of his daughter, The Rock, took to social media to congratulate his firstborn.
Simone’s mother, Dany Garcia, who was previously married to The Rock, celebrated her daughter’s WWE announcement by posting a video montage of her daughter.
Earlier this year, Simone’s grandfather, Rocky Johnson, passed away at the age of 75.
