With this anticipation of Kanye West’s new album, fans and patrons alike are starting to go overboard.
West announced earlier this week that he would be premiering his new album at a special screening of Jesus is King in Los Angeles on October 23rd. The tickets were planned to be first come first serve and would be available at no cost to those who wanted to attend.
It is fair to say that with any concert, there are always those who are looking to make a profit. Even in a situation wherein, tickets were initially free there was a multitude of people who scraped several tickets, only to attempt to sell them for hundreds of dollars.
Considering that this album comes with a self-claimed transformation of West and his spiritual connection to God, the fact the some would want to make money off of this event was particularly disturbing.
Fans on Twitter were particularly upset with the entire ordeal and were quick to voice their opinions
If u got free Kanye tickets and selling em I hope yo tires pop on the freeway

Kanye West gives away free tickets. Scumbags selling them for $175 and brought the site down. I hate people. I'm not even a fan, but this is why we can't have nice things #KanyeWest

West’s new album ‘Jesus is King’ dropped on October 25th and has gotten mixed reviews from fans based on some of the controversial statements he’s made over the past few years.
Hopefully, his newfound faith is one that is here to stay.
