B. Simone is an R&B singer, comedian, and TV personality who is known for his humorous personality on actor Nick Cannon’s MTV sketch comedy show Wild ‘n Out alongside rappers Conceited, comedians Emmanuel Hudson & DC Young Fly and many more.
The 29-year-old Dallas native is most known for her new book, Baby Girl Manifest the Life You Want, as it talks about the life and career of Simone and her journey to understanding the importance of manifesting the life you want to live in this tell-all.
In late March, the actress began dating North Carolina rapper and native DaBaby according to an Instagram post.
For the past nearly two weeks, B. Simone came under fire for her comments on the riots that been taking place in response to the tragic death of George Floyd, a Houston native who was killed by the hands of Minneapolis police. Simone responded on Twitter, where she stated that the reason why she doesn’t riot or support the protests because “she’s a Christian and child of God.”
Since then, the actress had been under fire because of those comments, and even after, when she posted on Twitter that she does not need Twitter’s validation to be credible or respected.
Contrary to popular belief, some, including myself, beg to differ because, before Wild ‘n Out, Simone was a social media influencer. All she has ever done to promote herself and her brand was because of social media and the people who support and followed her since day one.
Recently, in an interview with co-star Nick Cannon on his radio show, when asked about her relationship status, Simone stated that she refuses to date a man making an honest living at 9-5.
“You’re not going to understand my lifestyle. You’re not going to understand why I’m up at 3 am,” she said.
Shortly after her interview, once again, Simone became the target of social media backlash as fans and even fellow celebrities criticized her for her comments on dating a man that is working a 9-5.
Here is the video of her response from Twitter below, provided by @DJShaadSmooth.
