It seems like the Top Dawg Entertainment crew can’t get away from rumors spreading, as they have had their fair share of time in the headlines over the label and members. But surprisingly, this time around, it was about the low-key rapper – Kendrick Lamar.
Rumors began to surface that K. Dot was leaving the TDE label to give his full attention to the pgLang label, which he recently launched with Dave Free. The Compton rapper wasn’t having the rumor, as he decided to end it with a little public service announcement.
In a video, posted by CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith on Instagram, Kendrick addressed the rumors with a Blue Clues stuffed animal in what looks like a car, as we hear the DAMN artist’s voice.
“Top, you got to stop them from smutting my name, man,” Kendrick said. “They been smutting my name all year, man. You ain’t said nothing. Enough is enough. Got them saying I done shook the label and all that.”
“They must don’t know about that, that pickle juice that’s under your red cap, man,” Kendrick continued. “About that sweat, the sweat that’s holding that red cap together, reason why it don’t fall off your head, man. That lubricant. You need to tell them that the reason why that cap don’t fall off yo’ head, man. So why would I fall off? Watching cartoons, man.”
TDE President Terrance “Punch” Henderson took to Twitter to address it before the rapper could. He expressed that everyone spreads the rumor before anyone can get the truth out.
A rumor gets halfway around the world before the truth get it’s shoes on. Lol

Recently, Kendrick made headlines when he was spotted on the beach filming what looked like a possible music video. Fans were eager to find out what it was, but unfortunately, there hasn’t been any sign of it just yet. As long as us fans know that the Compton rapper is here to stay with TDE – it’s good enough for now.
