On April 15 Jennifer Lopez and Fiancée Alex Rodriguez released a statement announcing that they will be parting ways.
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support,” said the statement obtained by TODAY.
The two got engaged back in March 2019 after dating for two years. However, back in March wedding bells ceased to ring after rumors spiraled that the pair had called it quits.

The speculation was that A-Rod cheated on Lopez with “Southern Charm” actress, Madison LeCroy. While the two conversed over dms and through phone calls, LeCroy herself denied claims of cheating and described their relationship as innocent and inconsistent.
Lopez and Rodrigues brushed off the past break up rumors but still left the world with questions as to what was really going on.
“All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things,” said the couple in a joint statement.
Obviously, things didn’t work out. A-Rod posted a video on his Instagram story where he is reminiscing over photos of the pair and their blended family, Coldplay’s “Fix You” played in the background.

While the retired baseball player is in his feels, J.Lo is ruthlessly throwing shade. The Latin pop-star subtly liked a photo on IG that read,
“Don’t make her think you care when you have never given a **** about her,” wrote r.h. Sin aka Reuben Holmes. “How many times have you been told ‘I love you’ by someone who has continued to treat you like ****?” the author captioned the photo.
Lopez’s timing is impeccable, and it is fair to assume her liking the post was in direct relation to her break-up with A-Rod.
Nevertheless, the “On The Floor” singer is “feeling at peace,” according to a source that opened up to E! News.
