Are Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez in love or in over their heads?
On March 12th, news broke that the couple called it quits after being engaged for two years. Rumors swirled that the reason for the split was Rodriguez’s involvement with Madison LeCroy from “Southern Charm.”
However, on March 13th, JLo and A-Rod released a joint statement denying the claims.
“All the reports are inaccurate,” said the statement.
According to the statement obtained by People, the couple is “working through some things.”
A source close to the pair also told people that the rumors that Rodriguez was unfaithful had no effect on their relationship. However, with Lopez working in the Dominican Republic and Rodriguez residing in Miami, distance has put a strain on the two.

“They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch but were not broken up,” said the source.
While the two have yet to personally comment on the media frenzy. JLo posted a montage video of herself with the song “Pretty Bitch Freestyle” by Saweetie. During one clip, multiple headlines are shown on the screen, some relating to the break-up rumors and others about the star supposedly getting Botox. The next clip in the video is of Lopez saying “You’re dumb.” Well, it is not 100% clear, this may be the singer shutting down break up and Botox allegations.

Just last month Lopez was feeling sentimental and shared a video on Twitter of an enormous rose bouquet gifted to her by A-Rod. She mentioned how February is their anniversary month and love seemed to have been in the air.
February is our special month… our anniversary month… We met again for the first time on February 1st… the first time we went out was two days later and since then there hasn’t been a day we haven’t been together or spoken… you keep me laughing… pic.twitter.com/CiqrpQsSyk

The pair have been dating since 2017 and got engaged in March 2019. Since, they have had to postpone their wedding twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether wedding bells are still ringing or ‘Splitsville’ is the couple’s next destination, only time will tell what’s in the cards for the J-Rod.
