It seems as if quarantine has brought people together. Many celebrities have taken this time to go Live on Instagram to catch up with one another, or speak on important topics. For French Montana and Jim Jones, it indicates clearing out their beef in front of thousands.
On April 16, the two rappers took to Instagram Live to put the 15-year beef to rest. They shared stories about the moments they would come across each other at events and how there would always be some type of confrontation.
French Montana shared a clip on his Instagram of Jim Jones reflecting on a moment at the MTV Music Awards, where French flipped off Jones as he was walking by. Thankfully, the aggressive gesture didn’t escalate into something bigger. Instead, Jim Jones told his security to leave it alone.
The Instagram post was captioned, “15 YEARS OF BEEFING ENDED UP WITH LAUGHS AND WAR STORIES 🙏BIG MOMENT FOR HIP HOP.”
According to The Source, the two rappers’ beef began back in the mid-2000s for being affiliated with rapper Max B, who had done business with Jones that allegedly ended badly. It then led to diss tracks being made from both sides and the beef continued from there.
That is all aside now for Montana and Jones, in which they have shown that they’re able to move past it. Maybe fans can expect to hear new music from French Montana and Jim Jones since their beef is officially squashed.
