Forbes has released its list for 30 Under 30. It focuses on young entrepreneurs and some of the wealthiest, talented people under the age of 30-years-old. Some of these honorees have also given back to their community in different ways.
The 30 Under 30 list included some of the music industry’s best: Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Murda Beatz, London On Da Track, Polo G, Brent Faiyaz, G Herbo, Lil Baby, and many more.
For Roddy Ricch, Forbes highlighted the 22-year-old rapper on his career taking off after the release of his debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, which helped him make $20 million. His album not only hit No. 1, but his hit single “The Box” also stood on the charts for 18 weeks.
“I’ve made more this year than I have ever made in my life — at home,” Roddy Ricch expressed in the Forbes article. “But you can never get too comfortable. I got a million things to do.”
The Compton rapper shared that he’s investing his money into his “city’s commercial real estate and teaching Comptonites financial literacy through his soon-to-launch foundation.”
As for Doja Cat, whose song “Say So,” took over TikTok with 18 million videos created by users with a special dance. The 25-year-old also had a record-breaking moment when it came to topping the Billboard charts in 2020, as a female in the music industry.
Los Angeles native, Saweetie is featured on this list for her hit single “My Type,” which went double platinum and became an anthem for women around the world. The 26-year-old is also an entrepreneur, in which she has a jewelry company called ICY.
A few producers are also on this list, such as London On Da Track and Murda Beatz, who have each worked with well-known artists like Drake, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, and more. They have also created a name for themselves, as they’re highly respected in the hip-hop game.
