In the past, Cardi B has shared her political views to the world when she interviewed Bernie Sanders for a presidential campaign video, but that wasn’t the end of the political conversation for her.
On Jan. 12, Cardi B took to Twitter to express that she felt she could become a congresswoman if she put herself to it. She also claimed that she has many ideas she believes would work for America. The only thing that she thinks she needed to touch-up on was school.
I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress.I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense.I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table .

Although the official Bernie Sanders’ campaign account agreed and rooted for her, others gave her backlash for it. She even took a moment to call out the host of Red, White, and F You: Unapologetically Patriotic, Mindy Robinson for talking down on the idea.
You really mad cause you stay takin pics like this and mention Trump 20 times a day to get his attention.HEY! Don’t take your anger out on me cause he don’t wanna fuck you sis 🤷🏽♀️😩😩 https://t.co/sIaKIPmtQx pic.twitter.com/68X2DpZUIj

Cardi B then took a moment to address the negativity she was receiving from believing she could be a part of Congress. It later led to a Twitter debate in which people asked her questions or stated their beliefs. It, of course, came with a few rules. Cardi B wrote, “Let’s be grown. Let’s teach and learn .”
Let me tell you something cause every time I post anything political I get attack all type of crazy .If you are a conservative & if you support a opposite party that’s OK( unless you racist)we can get into friendly debates on here voice your opinion…

Listen , I do believe we have the right to bare arms however I do believe in order to get a gun we should get mental check ups, proper training and a older age limit to own one .If the proper age limit to drinking is 21 because these kids can’t handle their liquor how can they .. https://t.co/mDb28tUKMh

The Bronx native said she agreed with the rights to bear arms, but believed that there should be mental check-ups, training, and a higher age limit. She also compared baring arms to being tested in the military and having to have the correct mindset.
To join the military you need proper training and follow rules right ?They do evaluation check to get in right ?If you don’t qualify you get kicked out right?so if you don’t get training and don’t follow proper rules and don’t qualify to own a gun you shouldn’t have one . https://t.co/txnACFGaYW

Cardi B’s debate was short, to the point and another moment to shine a light on political views. Would you vote Cardi for Congress?
