Cardi B is lending help to medical workers and families in need during the Coronavirus. The three-time platinum artist has provided vegan supplements to New York City medical workers and teamed up with Fashion Nova to donate $1,000 to families.
The Bronx native has decided to provide local medical workers with 20,000 bottles of Only What You Need (OWYN) supplement drinks, which includes proteins and the nutrients needed for them to continue the fight against COVID-19. According to HipHopDx, it features 100 percent plant-based, non-GMO and free of gluten, soy, dairy, and any allergen ingredients to be efficient for everyone.
The Invasion of Privacy artist also teamed up with Fashion Nova to donate $1k to families every hour to make sure that the money is given straight to the people for necessities. The donation is set to continue until May 20 when they reach $1 million of donations.
“Many of you are struggling to pay bills, feed your families, and take care of your overall essential needs,” Cardi expressed on Instagram.
Recently, Cardi B has been using her platform as a voice for the people. In a recent video posted on Instagram, Cardi made a statement for non-celebrities, claiming the general public doesn’t have an option to be tested for COVID-19, while celebrities with no symptoms are being tested.
