It’s that time of year for the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, where some non-professional basketball players take the court. This time around, there are several different artists, actors, and comedians playing ball with WNBA and NBA players.
The celebrity game will be held on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. According to the NBA site, the two teams will be led by ESPN commentators Stephen A. Smith and Micheal Wilbon, in which Wilbon will be given the “home team” for being a Chicago native as Smith’s team takes the “away team.”
The home team will also be assisted by actor Jesse Williams, who played on Grey’s Anatomy. The team includes Common as captain, Bad Bunny, Hannibal Buress, Kane Brown, Jidenna, and Quentin Richardson to name a few. The away team will be assisted by chef Guy Fieri, whose show is featured on Food Network. The team includes Chance the Rapper as Captain, Quavo, Taylor Bennett, Lil Rel Howery, Darius Miles, and more.
Ruffles, sponsor of celebrity game, also added an interesting rule that allows the players to give back. During the game, celebrities will be able to shoot from a 4-point line, in which Ruffles will donate $4 thousand to the Special Olympics.
Common and Chance the Rapper will also be performing at the 2020 halftime NBA All-Star game on Feb. 16. Make sure you tune in the check out your favorite rappers, comedians, actors, and basketball players play.
