Money Mayweather will be making a comeback to the ring this summer. According to Mayweather’s protege, Gervonta Davis, Floyd Mayweather is coming out of retirement and will be fighting this June. The Money Team also confirmed that the undefeated legendary fighter will be pulling out the gloves this June, via Twitter.
Mayweather will be coming out of retirement to fight UFC star, Conor McGregor. He is currently UFC’s featherweight champion. McGregor has also been very vocal about challenging Mayweather to a match up. In response, in a recent ESPN interview, Mayweather states, “If I do fight, it’s only against Conor McGregor… but not against nobody else.” They’ve both been teasing fans with a possible match up for some time now. Mayweather did say if the fight must strictly go by boxing rules. The Mayweather v. McGregor fight will be on June 10, 2017.
