When fashion and elements of dance such as ballet come together , sparks are in the air. For example the success of Puma’s popular ballet-inspired collection or Opening Ceremony’s politically-charged performance that showcased their Spring 2017 collection, dance incorporated adds for a great time.
That’s why New York accessories label Feit tapped Benjamin Millepied (former NYCB principal dancer and director of dance at the Paris Opera Ballet and choreographed film Black Swan) to create a short film detailing the brand’s new collection of hand sewn, ballet-inspired looking shoes.
The film is shot on a vintage film camera and stars former New York City Ballet principal dancer Janie Taylor. The film shows Taylor dancing elegantly to music by Millepied’s brother Laurent.
