The Simpsons have done it again, they seemed to have predicted Vice President Kamala Harris’s Inauguration Day outfit.
During “Bart to the Future”, the 17th episode of season 11, Lisa Simpson, the eldest child of the Simpsons family, is grown-up and becomes the first female President of the United States.
On Lisa’s first day as president, she wore the exact same outfit Harris was seen wearing on Inauguration Day.
The outfit was a purple collared jacket with a pearl necklace and matching pearl earrings. The only major difference between the outfits is that Lisa wore a gray turtleneck under her jacket.
A Twitter user claims her husband worked on the”‘Bart to the Future”’ episode and shared a piece of artwork he created once the outfit conspiracy formed.
My husband works on the Simpsons and made this just now. He actually worked on the Pres Lisa episode💜 pic.twitter.com/QF5bTAHL80

While amusing, the matching outfits aren’t the only strange instance in the episode. While Lisa is discussing presidential business she says, “As you know we have inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump.”
What makes the line even more chilling is that the episode aired in the year 2000. The Simpsons not only predicted Trump’s presidency but that the US would see its first female leader in office, following his departure. While Harris is vice president and not president, the episode is still a little too close for comfort.
The animated series has also predicted other monumental events, such as the coronavirus pandemic and the recent events at Capitol Hill.
Whether it’s these are all coincidences or true predictions, the conspiracy theory that The Simpsons writers can see into the future lives on.
