In today’s day and age, we’ve gone digital. Everything is now digital and either available online or on all streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud and many others. Since the “Vine days”, whenever we look for entertainment, it’s always in the palm of our hands. With the rise of Youtube sensations and social media influencers, we’re seeing many more people look venture away from Youtube videos and seek to create podcasts for their followers’ entertainment. While this is still up and coming, I don’t believe this is going anywhere. TUC has provided you with this week’s TUC 5 series: Podcasts To Be On The Look Out For in 2018, in case you’re struggling in trying to find your perfect fit.
Emily Oberg: The Group Chat/ Hosted by Emily Oberg, Speedy, Jinx
From Complex to becoming KITH creative director, Emily Oberg is always on the move. At the end of 2017, Oberg announced she would be launching her latest project. Oberg now stars on the latest podcast titled, “Group Chat” along with two of her friends and influencers, Speedy and Jinx. In the TIDAL exclusive, they cover topics such as social topics and anything trending in the industry at the moment. While this plays out to be a simple conversation between friends, it helps the listener understand and view each persons’ perspective equally. The first episode is titled, “F**k 2017”. Tune in every Tuesday, available on TIDAL streaming services.
As many of you may know, Joe Budden, the controversial “Everyday Struggle” personality may be said to be leaving them for “Revolt”. According to other news media outlets, Budden requested for more money and wasn’t granted to him. Revolt presented him with a bigger deal he could not pass up on, from what rumor has it. In between time, Budden also runs his own podcast title, “The Joe Budden Podcast”. While it’s not surprising his podcast is a self-titled being who he is, he also features his friends Rory and Mal in every week sit-downs to express their opinions on life, music, sex and more. Currently, the podcast is sitting at over 47,000 followers. They seem to be very consistent every week so this project is bound to grow. Make sure to tune in every Tuesday.
