Two of Philadelphia’s most iconic sports figures, Allen Iverson and Julius “Dr. J” Erving took center stage in week 4 of the BIG3 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The two icons highlighted week 4 in a monumental coaching battle. But that’s not all as week 4 also featured a continuation of the winning streak of the arguably the best team in the league, Trilogy, as well as a scoring barrage from Rashard Lewis. Here are this week’s highlights of Week 4 of the BIG3.
Game 1: Power vs Ghost Ballers

The opening contest of week 4 featured a competitive matchup between the Power, led by Philadelphia native and former Houston Rockets guard, Cuttino Mobley and the Ghost Ballers led by Ricky Davis and team captain, Mike Bibby. The game went back and forth but 2011 NBA Champion, Deshawn Stevenson sealed the game with a game winning three right between the eyes of Ricky Davis. The Power were able to pick up a huge 51-44 victory.
Game 2: Trilogy vs Ball Hogs

Did anybody predict that a team led by Al Harrington and Rashad McCants (who should still be in the NBA) would be the best team in the BIG3 ? Rashad McCants led the Trilogy to their 4th consecutive victory in 4 weeks. McCants finished with a stat line of 20 pts including one 4-point bucket and two 3’s in the Trilogy’s 50-43 victory.
Game 3: 3 Headed Monsters vs Killer 3s

Rashard Lewis is the front runner for league MVP in the BIG3. In the week 4 matchup against the Killer 3s, “Sweet Lew” put up a game high 30 pts which puts his total points scored up to a league leading 124 points. It also helps that his performance led to a 51-46 win over the Killer 3s. The Killer 3s didn’t go down quietly as Stephen Jackson led his team in scoring with 24pts. Chauncey Billups was not available for the matchup against the 3 Headed Monsters.
Game 4: Tri-State vs 3’s Company

The marquee matchup of the day featured a coaching duel between two of the greatest Philadelphia 76ers players of all time, Tri-State head coach, Julius Dr. J Erving and 3’s Company head coach and team captain, Allen Iverson aka “The Answer”. The Tri-State jumped out to a commanding 25-13 lead but they were unable to sustain it as 3’s Company leading scorer of the game, Al Thornton, brought the team back with his 20 pts performance. However, it wasn’t enough as Bonzi Wells sealed the victory for the Tri-State with a bucket assisted from Tri-State Captain, Jermaine O’neal. The Tri-State wrapped up a week of competitive BIG3 basketball with a 51-44 victory.
