YOU Season 2 has hit Netflix and it is binge-worthy material. With all the suspenseful scenes and the plot twist, you’re not going to want to get up from your bed or the couch to do anything, but keep watching.
Just as the first season, the main character Joe, played by Penn Badgley, is on a mission to do whatever it takes to keep the ones he loves happy and safe. He not only changes locations to Los Angeles for a new start, but also switches identities, which he now goes by Will Bettelheim.
This season, Will takes you on another journey in the streets of LA, where he unexpectedly meets a new lover that comes with a lot of baggage, finds a new bookstore job, and meets people with different backgrounds. It also gives you an insight into the passionate, business side of LA, such as the film industry and aspiring journalists.
There are mostly all-new characters, except Will’s past lovers, which both come to haunt him from time to time. However, one is there to stay to make sure that he doesn’t try to hurt anyone this time around. She not only wants to save the lives of the people he’s involved with but to take Will down to do the time he deserves.
Will finds himself dealing with situations that could have been avoided if he didn’t want to get rid of the bad people. He has to cover up his tracks, lie to the ones he’s grown to care for, and ends up hurting more than he wants to.
The famous holding box is included in the series again, but this time not only one person can be found held there. The shocking twist of a new loved one is revealed around this holding box that will have you wanting to watch what happens next. You’ll also get a glimpse of how Will, or Joe, grew to become the killer that he is now, but it’ll have you feeling somewhat sympathy for him.
YOU is a must watch and will have you on your toes. So, if you’ve finished all of your current Netflix shows you’re watching, then add this one to the list, because you don’t want to miss out on all the YOU conversations that are happening. You definitely don’t want to be behind when the next season comes out.
