Claribel: You’ve had multiple appearances in shows and cool webisodes, do you have any television projects in the works for the future?
El-Jay: Yes, I’m in the process of doing two projects in a TV show and future film…starting in the first quarter in the new year. My most current movie project is out now “Never Heard” featuring Karrueche Tran, Romeo Miller, Brian White… My record “Special” which is off my album Intentions actually made it on the soundtrack in the movie.

Claribel: You released the remix to your single “My Bae” a few months ago, do you plan on making this the signature style of sound for your listeners?
El-Jay: Absolutely. When it comes to my album Intentions, it’s very versatile. There’s a dash of hip-hop and R&B in it… it’s to get everyone geared up… there’s dance records, love records.
Claribel: Are there any artists you collaborated in Intentions that your listeners would be excited about?
El-Jay: I have collaboration records with legendary M.C Sticky Fingaz, Shorty Mack from My Bae remix, and a few more surprises!
Claribel: As a talented artist, you’re able to do a little of everything. If you had to stick with one talent (singing, dancing, acting) which would you choose and why?
El-Jay: It’s funny because they piggyback off each other. If I had to choose just one, it would be performing on stage…that’s when I’m my most comfortable, it’s on stage.
Claribel: You’ve come a long way since the start of your career. What has been the biggest challenge in your road to success?
El-Jay: In the beginning stages, it was finding myself and my sound. A lot of people in the past weren’t for me so they were hindering and stopping me. I’m grateful to my team now, and shout-out to my publicist Barbara and manager Brandon. Everything is looking up now…timing is everything.
Claribel: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
El Jay: My all-time favorite snack is sour patches.
Claribel: Can you give a piece of advice to someone who is trying to get their start in entertainment?
El:Jay: Don’t focus on what’s in the moment focus on you and build the team around you that helps build you… consistency is everything.
