For the first time, NBA 2K25 will feature both NBA and WNBA players on its covers. Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces are the cover athletes for the All-Star Edition, with Wilson also gracing the WNBA edition. Tatum will be the solo cover star for the standard edition, while Vince Carter is honored on the Hall of Fame edition.
Tatum, fresh off an NBA championship with the Celtics, recently signed the richest contract in NBA history (five years, $314 million). He has been an All-Star for five consecutive seasons and has earned first-team All-NBA honors for three straight years.
A’ja Wilson, widely regarded as the best women’s basketball player today, has an impressive list of accolades. She is the reigning WNBA Finals MVP, a back-to-back champion, and has won the Defensive Player of the Year award twice in a row. Additionally, she is expected to win her third regular-season MVP title this year. Wilson’s dominance on the court and her significant contributions to her team’s success make her a standout figure in women’s basketball.
Vince Carter, known for his record-setting 22-season NBA career, made eight All-Star teams and played for eight different franchises. His impact on the game and longevity in the league are celebrated with his feature on the Hall of Fame edition.
NBA 2K25 also introduces new features, including mode parity across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the exception of Crossplay support. This ensures a consistent experience for players across different platforms. Additionally, players on new-gen platforms will enjoy a sixth era of MyNBA and enhanced experiences in MyCAREER, including a “more compact and interactive City.
