On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, the Warriors and Cavs met up again on the Cavs home court. The Warriors already had a 2-0 lead over the Cavs and many wondered if the Cavs would be able to defend their home court and get the lead to 2-1. Well, the Cavs were doing well during the whole game leading by as many as 12 at one point, but sadly were defeated on their home court.
Although the Cavs were leading, Kevin Durant turned it up! Kevin Durant scored 41 points, which was the highest out of all the players on both teams. Ultimately those 41 points were the only reason why they were able to get the W over Cleveland. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson only had 11 and 10 points respectively. So Kevin, in a sense, was picking up their slack.
During the 4th quarter is when things came alive. And when I say things I mean Kevin Durant. He hit a staggering 3 reminiscent of last year’s Finals against the Cavs which really helped put the dagger in the Cavaliers’ heart. The Cavs kept fighting until the end but lost 102-110.
Below Are Kevin Durant Highlights from Game 3
Now everyone’s saying the Cavs are going to get swept, but the odds are definitely against them. No team has come back from 3-0. But years ago they were also saying no team has come back from 3-1. But the Cavs did that. So knowing that Game 4 is a teeth clinching one, if the Warriors win they will have swept the Cavs and win on Cleveland turf, but if the Cavs win they could possibly prolong the series. And not only that but will Friday be LeBron’s last game in Cleveland? So many questions up in the air.
I’m personally nervous but have faith in LeBron and the Cavs.
But Please Let me know in the comments how you feel about game 4.
