What do you get when you mix pop, R and B, rock and some soul? If you are still thinking about this combination, let me give you some help. LA based Grunge and B duo THEY. are not only talented in their own right, but really know how to get the crowd rocking! Recently I had the opportunity to go to their concert during their “Nu Religion” Tour and I was very impressed.

From the music, lyrics and energy radiating from the stage, it was definitely a pleasant surprise. Not to mention, everyone who came to support THEY. were cool, calm and down to Earth. It was great meeting both Dante and Drew Love.

Both of them possess a very impressive resume alone, but together they are a musical powerhouse that creates addictive music for our ears to enjoy. If you have not had the chance to hear their latest album, check out “Nu Religion: HYENA” below.
With inspirations from Nirvana, James Brown, New Edition and Ed Sheeran, THEY. has definitely made a name for themselves in the music industry. Denver producer Dante and Washington D.C. producer/vocalist Drew Love both arrived in LA separately to follow their music aspirations. Even though their paths were different, they would eventually cross. Drew wrote for R and B singers like Chris Brown and Jeremih, while Dante lent his talents to artists like will.i.am and Kelly Clarkson. He actually won a Grammy for his work with Clarkson’s Mr. Know-It-All.

I am a huge fan of THEY. and proud to say that I am a member of the “Wolf Pack”. Everyone over here at TUC Magazine supports the movement especially because THEY. embodies the qualities of True Urban Culture.
