So, someone reporting that a Nicki Minaj and Cardi B collaboration is in the works wouldn’t shock a lot of people, but their fanbases. It’s been rumored that the two female rappers are collaborating on a song called “Lavish“.
HipHopNews were the first to report that the Brooklyn born rapper Cardi B could be releasing a song with Minaj. The rumors being sparked by a tweet Cardi B posted on Twitter. Many fans begin to speculate who she could be possibly referring to in the tweets. Two of the highly guessed suggestions being Nicki Minaj and Drake.

The two are an unlikely duo to be on a song together after the huge beef followed by the events that took place during New York Fashion Week in 2018. However, it’s been rumored that the two are putting their differences aside for this collaboration. Neither Minaj nor Cardi has spoken out about the rumors being true. While Cardi recently celebrated her birthday, Nicki just welcomed a newborn baby into the world.
A snippet of the rumored song was posted on YouTube before it was quickly deleted. The website Genius made a lyric page of the song, but deleted that page also. Especially considering the Genius website, anybody could create pages for songs on there.
With the success and popularity of Cardi B’s most recent single with Megan Thee Stallion “WAP“, a collab with Nicki Minaj could only skyrocket her music career even more. Especially with Grammy season coming real soon and the two old beef between each other. However, like Cardi B said, this single could make some people upset no matter who is rumored to be on it.
