With November literally right around the corner, we can expect some new music drops coming very soon. And if these past few months have been any indication of what’s to come, it’s safe to assume that these artists have been working overtime in an attempt to make 2018 “The Year of Greatness,” at least musically. There hasn’t been a short of new albums to enjoy and this next month will definitely add more to the roster.
Here are few albums to look forward to in November:
White Bronco – Action Bronson
Release Date: November 1st
Coming right out the gate, Action Bronson will be releasing his fifth major project, White Bronco, on November 1st. Having announced his departure from Atlantic Records earlier this year, this will be his first independent work in a long time. Bronson has already posted his tracklist, with familiar features including Meyhem Lauren, Big Body Bes, and Yung Mehico, As well as a collab with A$AP Rocky on the closer.
Poison – Swizz Beatz
Release Date: November 2nd
With his last solo album debuting nearly a decade ago, anticipation is high to see what Swizz Beatz has in store for his upcoming sophomore project, Poison. With J.Cole credited as an executive producer, and an all-star line up of collaborators including Kendrick Lamar, Young Thug, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz, Poison is definitely something to watch out for in the next few days.
The Last Rocket – Takeoff
Release Date: November 2nd
The members of Migos appear determined to prove that they’re just as strong separately as they are together. With Quavo having released his solo project, Quavo Huncho, this past month, it seems it’s Takeoff’s turn to be in the spotlight. His debut album, The Last Rocket, drops this Friday. Though details have been kept under wraps, we do know that the project will consist of 10 tracks and will be produced by DJ Durel and Cassius Jay.
Noir – Smino
Release Date: November 8th
St. Louis born rapper Smino announced his sophomore album, Smino Noir, earlier this past month on Twitter with a 90-second freestyle. This is coming not too long after the release of his successful debut album, blkswn, the previous year. Information is pretty scarce, but if that preview is any hint of what’s to come, we should be pretty excited.
Fireside EP – THEY.
Release Date: November 9th
This R&B Duo, made up of Dante Jones and Drew Love, from out of Los Angeles, California have a unique sound that absolutely deserves more attention. Their second major project, Fireside EP, releases on Sunday, November 9th, and consists of guest appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, Gallant, Vic Mensa, and Jessie Reyez. A track featuring Wiz Khalifa, titled “What I Know Now,” already has a video out.
Lighten Up – Diggy Simmons
Release Date: November 9th
Diggy Simmons, the heir of hip-hop royalty, stopped by the Sway In The Morning show and announced his upcoming sophomore album Lighten Up. The artist confessed to taking some time off to secure his own mental health, and that his journey shows itself in his work. Simmons has already previewed his project via a new single, ‘Goin,’ which is produced by Kaytranada and samples a song from his very own uncle, Russell Simmons.
Still My Moment – Tee Grizzly
Release Date: November 9th
Detriot based rapper Tee Grizzley has announced the release of his next commercial work: Still My Moment, the follow-up mixtape to last year’s project My Moment. This reveal came earlier during the year and was originally thought to precede his debut album Activated which dropped back in May. Though no information has been given as to what’s to be expected, so far he has released a single, ‘Pray for the Drip,’ with Migos member Offset.
The Meth Lab II: The Lithium – Method Man
Release Date: November 13th
Rap veteran and Wu-Tang member Method Man is in the process of releasing a sequel album to his 2015 project, The Meth Lab. The Meth Lab II: The Lithium is set to drop around mid-November and is claimed to feature more of Meth’s own work and talent, a fact which will surely delight fans who were disappointed at not hearing much of him on the album’s predecessor. The album will consist of a whopping 22 tracks and contains guest appearances from artist like Redman, Snoop Dogg, and Sheek Louch, as well as a few fellow Wu-Tang members.
Oxnard – Anderson.Paak
Release Date: November 16th
If lead single ‘Tints’ featuring fellow Californian rapper Kendrick Lamar is any indication as to how Anderson Paak’s third studio album, Oxnard, will sound, then we’re in for a real treat. Dr. Dre executively produced 14 track project will feature guest contributions from artist like J.Cole, Pusha T, and Q-Tip and will be his first album released under Aftermath Entertainment. It will also be the last in Paak’s “beach series,” following his first two albums Venice and Malibu.
Yandhi – Kanye West
Release Date: November 23rd
Set for a Black Friday release, Kanye is apparently in the process of adding the finishing touches to his ninth studio album, Yandhi. Stylized similarly to Yeezus, this project comes just a few months after his seven-song LP, Ye. Not much is known regarding this work besides a few featured guest appearances by Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, and several others. However, a sudden single track that appeared on West’s Apple Music profile a few weeks ago had people speculating on what the often unpredictable artist has brewing in the lab.
