Nas has announced that his 13th album King’s Disease produced by Hit-Boy is on its way.
On August 14, the New York native took to Twitter to release “Ultra Black,” the first single off of his new album, which expresses rising as culture and navigating through the world’s changes. Nas also shouts out Hit-Boy for being on the beats. It even gives a small diss to Doja Cat, who was recently faced controversy for partaking in a racist chatroom online in the past.
He raps, “We goin’ ultra Black, unapologetically Black/ The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson Black”
King’s Disease will feature 14 tracks, as the fourth will be “Ultra Black” featuring Hit-Boy. The album will close out with a bonus track that has yet to be revealed. The album cover showcases red-colored angels with wings placed in flowers around a king’s chair. One of the angels hold a crown above a skull, knife and cut fruit.
Before the track release, Nas shared a video of the two workings in the studio on the album. At the beginning of it, the NASIR artist shares how he’s been wanting to work with Hit-Boy for years, and it finally fell into place for both artists.

The last album that Nas dropped was in 2018 with NASIR, which featured Diddy, 070 Shake, Kanye West, Tony Williams, and The-Dream. The seven-track album expressed positive messages for his fans and stood against police brutality.
It’s unknown as to who will be featured on this album, but the King’s Disease teaser gives off a vibe that this one is going to another hit for the respected rapper. King’s Disease is expected to be released Aug. 21 and is available for pre-order on iTunes.
