Earlier this month, Latino artist J Balvin was recognized for the third consecutive year in a row at the Heat Latin Music Awards. The Latin Music Awards took place June 8th at Playa Juanillo in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic. Organized by Latin American music video channel HTV, the awards recognize the most-played artists on the channel.
J Balvin dominated with three awards, including a win in the video of the year category. Which was then followed by artist Carlos Vives with two awards for: Best Tropical Artist and the Golden Award. The best New Artist award went to boy band CNCO and Fanny Lu won the Best Female artist category. The singer has been keeping busy performing his new album ‘Energia’ is Las Vegas. With his last album dating back to 2013, J Balvin is ready to hit the stage, and has then announced he will be going on tour starting in September of this year. Some hit tracks in his album include features from Pharrell Williams, Sky and Daddy Yankee. The artist also has a hit remix with Justin Bieber to his song ‘Sorry’.
