Future’s here to take it all, like always. This isn’t the first time Future’s “beast mode” work ethic has him breaking new records. Future’s, HNDRXX has debuted on the Billboard 200 chart in the No. 1 spot. Following HNDRXX, Future’s self-titled album, FUTURE is currently sitting at the No. 2 on the Billboards chart. With these two albums reaching the highest positions on the Billboard chart, Future breaks another record in becoming the first artist in Billboard history to obtain two No 1. Albums debuts in consecutive weeks.
The self-titled album, FUTURE reached the No. 1 spot within its first week of launch with a total of 140,000 equivalent album units. A week later, HNDRXX was released and within the first 7 days, the album sold 121,000 units. HNDRXX is currently sitting at the No. 1 spot, proceeding after is FUTURE falling in second place. This seems to come as no surprise to anyone with this being Future’s fifth consecutive No. 1 album, which is a record within itself. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, the efforts in receiving this recognition haven’t been done since Prince re-appeared on the Billboard charts after his passing April 2016 holding the two top spots. To top it all off, when Future is working on an album, he gives his fans a mixtape to ease their wait. Future interchangeably releases albums and mixtapes like there’s no tomorrow. We can’t ignore the fact that Future keeps us on our toes at all times for something new. And if that’s not enough, speaking facts, Future has dropped eight full-length projects in a matter of less than two years. Future’s music is gaining his recognition, while his work ethic is gaining his respect.
