Over a year out from Spider-Man Far From Home, fans are more than anxious to see their favorite web-slinger at the movies again. Luckily, Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland gave fans some good news today, announcing Spiderman 3 was in production with a post on Instagram. Friday, the actor took to Instagram to share the first onset photo of him donned in full Spidey gear, along with a surgical mask. Holland cleverly captioned the photo “Wear a mask,” Holland stated. “I’m wearing two….”
Although the actor confirmed that he was about to start filming Spider-Man 3 over a week ago, this on-set picture serves as the first confirmation that filming is underway. Still caught in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, worldwide movie theatre closure has prevented any new Marvel content from being released this year. However, this hasn’t kept fans from speculating about what the franchise is planning next. Recently, online rumors have been sparked claiming that in this movie Holland would be returning to the superhero mantle along with Spidey alumni Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield who will allegedly reprise their respective Spiderman roles. However, in typical Marvel fashion, any details about the movie have been wrapped up tight, leaving fans in the dark till the film comes out next year.
However, in the meantime, fans are thriving off of these exclusive behind the scene looks that Holland is providing, along with a well-needed reminder to keep wearing masks and practicing social distancing. While it may be a while till we see Spidey officially swing into theatres, these great photos will have to hold us over in the meantime.
