With season four ending with many people wondering where Issa and Lawrence’s relationship stand, especially with (spoiler alert!) Lawrence’s upcoming baby being on the way. Many fans also were left on the edge of their seat when in season 4, we were left wondering if Issa and Molly will fix their friendship after the huge argument in that season. With the script of season five being completed, production is set to start next month according to Deadline.
It’s been confirmed that Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Amanda Seales, and Natasha Rothwell will be returning for the final season. With Covid-19 drastically changing many tv shows around the world, Rae wasn’t interested in including the quarantine lifestyle in the upcoming season of Insecure. She also hinted at Issa and Nathan possibly spending more time together in the final season.
