What if there was a cooking show with a host that was not a trained or seasoned cook, but a rapper? We are starting to see a trend of rappers exploring interests outside of music. One that is becoming more and more popular is food. Action Bronson started the wave and others are following suit in their own weird ways.
Ultimate troller and cooking dance pioneer Lil B is doing just that. TheBasedGod has teamed up with AwesomenessTV to bring us the cool and vibrant show “Food Makes Me Happy w/ Lil B The Based God”. Each episode, executive produced by Colin Tilley, Boy In The Castle and Niko Philipides, features up-and-coming chefs who are making a statement in the culinary world with their unique takes on classic, traditional dishes and also includes light food critiques from pretty and petite social media influencers.
Lil B shows off his personality the colorful show by asking the chefs light-hearted and deep thought provoking questions that are not explored in your average cooking show. We are also usually left with some sort of gem that sneaks its way into the episode that will have you remembering your basics like “sharing is caring.” This strangely entertaining show is edited in a way that further makes the show not only fun to watch but interestedly informational.
