The 77th Golden Globes Awards started 2020 fashion off on the right foot. Celebrities graced the red carpet in some beautiful, custom styles that no one saw coming.
Washington left jaws on the floor. Designed by Altuzarra, wearing a plunging neckline, blazer, and skirt. The red lipstick added that pop and her natural bob brought it all together.
When Billy Porter walks the carpet, just know you’re in for a treat. Designed by Alex Vinash, Porter gives us a graceful swan-like presence with the all-white, feathers, and Swarovski crystals.
The “Harriet” actress looked stunning in her take of a suit and tie style. Designed by Thom Browne, Erivo pairs up her gown with an alluring Bvlgari choker and the short haircut brings everything together. The entire look is one that can’t be forgotten.
A huge congratulations is in order for Awkwafina as she is the first Asian woman to win a Golden Globe for lead actress in comedy. She accepted her award styled by Dior in this elegant skirt and blazer ensemble.
J.Lo says the holidays are never really over. Designed by Valentino, JLo gives us perfect proportions of size and color; not too big and the colors work very well with each other and on her.
Beyoncè and Jay-Z
Did you really think we’d forget this iconic look from Queen Bey and Jay? Custom made by Schiaparelli Haute Couture’s creative director, Daniel Roseberry, Beyoncè showed the Golden Globes what golden really looks like. And it doesn’t stop there, her earrings were also custom made and featured over 250 carats of diamonds. Jay-Z kept it clean and cut rocking his Tom Ford suit and patent leather shoes. Now you can understand why they had to make a grand entrance.
There were so many others who served looks at the awards show and who knows what these celebrities and designers have up their sleeves for the rest of the year.
