There’s a lot going on in the world of fashion right now, but one of the main things to be excited for next is Chanel’s newest campaign. Chanel has announced the launch of their newest edition to their long-time collection, the Gabrielle handbag. The “Gabrielle” campaign has announced the bag to be released to the public on April 3rd. This is the first major handbag release since the Le’ Boy bag in 2011. This Spring’s campaign features long time Chanel partner, Cara Delevinge, Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret, and Pharrell Williams. This Goyard bag was first displayed at the house’s Spring/Summer 2017 “Ready- to- Wear” show.
The description of the “Gabrielle” includes a thermoformed base around the main body, making the bag super light and manageable for an everyday casual wear. This bag features the classic, quilted and double chained look Chanel is mostly known for in their luxury handbags. The two colors that have been released are pearl white and baby doll pink. Along with the bag, there will also be a black quilted, bucket-shaped mini backpack. Accessories are set to come out sometime in March. Prices for this collection range from $3,000- $33,000 depending on the material.
A press release statement was given saying,
“: “Gabrielle is not just a simple name: it’s an invitation to all women to fulfill themselves, to have faith in who they are and to listen to their own voice”. This bag is to honor the great Coco “Gabrielle” Chanel. Three simple words she was set to live by: to choose, to desire, and to be and this collection says it all.
