“Your hard work and dedication was so worth it. You pushed through the most excruciating pain imaginable and you succeeded. I wish Daddy and Gigi were physically here to celebrate but I know they’re here in spirit.” wrote Vanessa in the caption of the video.
The proud mama also shared a video of her spoiling Natalia with USC themed balloons, apparel, and a custom pair of Kobe Nikes.
The shoes are the university’s colors, cardinal and gold and feature the USC logo on the back of the heel. The iconic Black Mamba logo sits on the tongue of the shoe and Kobe’s signature is above the sole.

The meaningful gift is to remind the 18-year-old that her father is still with her “every step of the way.”
Vanessa snagged her own pair of the custom shoes and shared a photo of them on Instagram.
“I get to rep 2 of my babies,” wrote the new Trojan mom.

Natalia also got accepted into the University of Oregon, University of California Irvine, Loyola Marymount University and applied to New York University.
However, Vanessa had her fingers crossed that she could keep her baby close to home
.
“So glad you got accepted but too far… j/k,” Vanessa commented on Natalia’s acceptance to LMU.
Natalia kicking off her college journey is definitely an accomplishment to be celebrated.
Vanessa opened up to PEOPLE about how proud she is of her eldest daughter.
“On top of her own grief, she has balanced her senior year of high school, applying to colleges, nurturing her sisters, and just recently signing her own modeling contract with IMG,” said Vanessa.
There is no doubt that Natalia’s resilience thus far is a hint at what she will accomplish in her future as a USC Trojan.
