During this time, many concerts and big events have either been canceled or postponed, until the pandemic is maintained. Instead, artists and celebrities have turned to live broadcasted performances and connected with fans through social media platforms.
Artists such as Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, John Legend, and Swae Lee have taken to Instagram live to bring positivity and enjoyment into people’s lives as they stay home.
For Lovato and Cyrus, many fans enjoyed the heartfelt message of the two pop-stars expressing their thoughts and challenges on body shaming, and what their friendship meant to each other. They took a moment to share that they always appreciated their friendship with each other since they met, even though they speak on occasions like these times.
They went on to touch base on Demi’s thoughts on body image, her struggles with it and how important it is for females, especially young girls to be comfortable with their bodies. She also mentioned that she hopes to be that positive body image for young girls that she wished she had growing up.
Grammy-Winner John and his wife Chrissy Teigen, went live on IG from their home, while being comfy in their robes and towels. John played the piano and sang a few songs for his fans. To lighten to mood, his wife joined in to sing some funny comments in reply to the fans.
Rapper and singer, Swae Lee has also planned to set up a live concert on IG as well, which is set to take place Friday at 8 p.m. He took to his social media to announce the free-concert and invited all to take part in it.
Thankfully, the platforms allow everyone to remain connected during this time of what feels like isolation.
