Harlem rapper Dave East has been known for his music but before he made his way to stardom he was once homeless and had to survive off his dapper looks.
East recently attended a Hoodie for the Homeless event at the Irving Plaza where he talked to Page Six Magazine. The rapper admitted that he used to sleep in his car for a year before he became famous for his mixtape ‘Black Rose” in 2015.
East told Page Six Magazine “I’m not going to lie my good looks helped me out” he added “I stayed with a couple girls. Shout-out to them, they know who they are.”
Following his breakthrough in his career, Dave East has been seen as a sex symbol of the rap game. He received compliments from Tyra Banks to do modeling and he even got mentioned in Nicki Minaj’s summer hit “Barbie Dreams.”
