A wax figure of the Queen Bee herself wouldn’t fit perfectly in just any Madame Tussauds, but the London location, and that’s exactly what happened.
Standing with her creative and meaningful Coachella outfit of a yellow, pull-over sweater, with a logo of Greek letters, high wasted shorts, and shiny, fringe boots is Beyoncé next to royals. Displayed at the center of the family between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, Yoncé stands proud with her fist in the air being as fierce as she can be.
Madame Tussauds displayed the wax figure of a historical moment for Beyoncé when she became the first Black woman to headline Coachella. She also took time during this moment to express her love for her culture and shined a light on historically Black colleges, especially the women in Greek life.
Bey’s Coachella performance was featured on her Netflix documentary, Homecoming where she tapped into the challenges of balancing her career and motherhood. The Queen Bee also chose several women to show off their talent as a part of the band or dance choreography. As an audience, we were able to see behind the scenes and hard work she put in to have that great and meaningful performance.
The wax figure placed side by side with the royals shows that she is royalty with the content she gives her fans while maintaining her personal life.
Although the wax figure is not somewhere we can easily access, it is something we can appreciate from far, but if you’re lucky enough to visit don’t forget to capture the special moment.
