#AllofMeAllofYou – Pop singer Rihanna Donates Protective Equipment to New York Residents During Our COVID-19 Pandemic

Rihanna is no stranger to giving back to the people she loves dearly. Whether it is through music, her makeup business or philanthropy, Rihanna has always been known for her good sense of humility and integrity.

 

Within the past decade, Rihanna has contributed most of her philanthropy work to her native country of Barbados by creating education programs through her Ciara Lionel Foundation and helping terminally ill children through her Believe Foundation.

In recent news, with the United States and other countries around the world undergoing the COVID-19 outbreak, there were many celebrities that reported that they have contracted and tested positive for the coronavirus. Celebrities such as Tom Hanks,  Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Kevin Durant and many more have all tested positive.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Although they have contracted the deadly virus, those celebrities reported that they were in fact “anti-symptomatic” and “feeling fine.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A couple of weeks ago, New York State Governor, Andrew Cuomo declared the State of New York on lockdown because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Now, as a couple of days ago, New York has been declared the state with most confirmed coronavirus cases (More than 52,000 cases).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In response to this pandemic, it was reported that Rihanna donated $5 million to the COVID-19 response efforts through her Ciara Lionel Foundation. In addition to her $5 million donation, the singer also donated protective equipment to the state of New York due to its sporadic numbers of confirmed cases in the U.S.

 

This past Thursday, Governor Cuomo thanked Rihanna for her generous donation and great efforts on Twitter.
