There’s nothing more exciting in the beauty community than anticipating your favorite brand’s makeup launch. We all remember how excited the fans of Anastasia Beverley Hill’s were when they announced their sister palette for the Modern Renaissance, Subculture. We also all remember the controversy when the palette disappointed numerous beauty gurus. This same year, we were introduced to Rihanna’s makeup line, Fenty Beauty, and let’s just say she did not come to play.
Now It’s almost April 2018, and I’m here to tell you which makeup launches your pocket needs to prepare for.
April 5th: KKW X MARIO
Kim Kardashian launched her makeup line in 2017, but let’s be honest when it comes to the new collaboration, we are excited about her makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic ‘s special touch. His palette collaboration with Anastasia Beverley Hill in the prior years still is many makeup artists’ favorite palette. Kim and Mario’s eyeshadow palette includes 10 colorful pans for $45. At first glance, the palette favors Kylie Jenner’s Royal Peach Palette. However, when swatched side by side, the tones are definitely different. The collection will also include a lipstick and lip-glosses.
April 6th: FENTY BEAUTY
The Queen is back at it again and is launching her newest collection. Who’s ready for shimmer and shine? Her newest collection includes “Body Lava” – a shimmery and intense liquid highlighter for the body. So far two shade names have been released. “Brown Sugar” is a rich shimmery bronze and “Who needs clothes” is a pearly pink tone. The collection also includes “Fairy Bomb” – a puffball that Rihanna stated, “ is packed with shimmer inside.” Lastly, there is a Kabuki body brush that can be purchased for easy application.
Prices: Body Lava ($59), Kabuki Body Brush ($34), and Fairy Bomb Glittering Pom Pom ($42).
April 16th: MAC X PATRICK STARR
Patrick Starr is a well-known beauty guru on YouTube. His confidence, edge, and makeup talent make him one of the most influential gurus in the industry. The community was super excited about his first collaboration with MAC in December 14th, and by no surprise, the results exceeded our expectations. Now, he is back for his spring launch with MAC, named “Floral Realness”. The collection includes two kits, each available for $49.50. Both kits include an eyeshadow palette, lipstick, lip-gloss and a blush powder duo.
