Ever wonder if you share the same birthday year with the words “barf bag” or “food coma?” Merriam-Webster’s new tool lets anyone look up words that first appeared in its print dictionary in the year they were born.

Merriam-Webster’s fascinating tool is called Time Traveler; the website allows visitors to select the year they were born, or any other year to see what words were added to the dictionary on the chosen year. My personal favorites are “climate change denier,” “binge-watch,” and “baby bump.”
Although Time Traveler launched in 2017, social media started passing the tool around online to see which words were added on their birth year.
"Food coma," "dad joke," "Gift bag," "potty-mouthed"….there's some fun ones from my year. https://t.co/GZErgzFZT1
