It’s Cancer season; now let’s review Hollywood’s most iconic Cancers. This season begins June 21st and lasts through July 22nd. The water sign is ruled by the moon. Cancers are known for their strong emotional compass. Most cancers are very compassionate and intuitive with both themselves and others.
For our first cancer, I thought I would highlight the one and only Meryl Streep an American actress born June 22nd she turned 75 this year. Known for her iconic performances in many films including; Mamma Mia, The Devil Wears Prada, and my personal favorite Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. Streep is also known for being able to learn any accent and her perfectionistic personality. Cancers take a lot of pride in their work and Streep embodies that element perfectly. She is so adaptable and able to blend into every role she is given and play it with nothing short of perfection.
Public socialite Khloe Kardashian born June 27th turned 39 yesterday. Khloe is not only a part of one of Hollywood’s most iconic families, but she is also my personal favorite Kardashian. She has always been very transparent on their reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” which aired first in 2007 and resumed for 20 seasons, which broke the record for being the longest-running reality TV show in the U.S. Khloe, is not only known for her appearance on the show, she is also a business owner; she started Good American with business partner Emma Grede a size-inclusive denim brand that celebrates woman and empowers body positivity.

Comedian and Actor Will Ferrel born July 16th will be 56 this year. He is known for his hilarious appearance in many movies including; Anchorman, Elf, Step Brothers, and my personal favorite Kicking And Screaming. There isn’t a film he has been in that I haven’t enjoyed. He has won 4 Emmys and is appearing in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie this year as the CEO of the toy company Mattel.

Kali Uchis; an American and Columbian singer and songwriter born July 17th will be 29 this year. Kali has 32,212,096 monthly listeners on Spotify and is known for her appearances on Tyler the Creator’s Flower-boy and Daniel Caesar’s Freudian. She didn’t have an easy start, thrown out of her house at 17 for breaking curfew. Her first album was a compilation of songs when she was homeless. Uchis’s real name is Karly-Marina Loaiza, but the stage name Kali Uchis was inspired by her father and the nickname he gave her and it represents self-reliance and resilience.

Robin Williams would have been 73 this year, born on July 21st. Known for his charisma and contagious smile he was loved by many. He appeared in 111 films in his lifetime. He won 1 Oscar for his performance in Good Will Hunting (1977). Hollywood has not been the same without his energetic presence and optimism. I’ve always been so inspired by Robin Williams; not only is his personality so captivating but his authenticity. Never failing to be his goofy self, inspired me to not always take life so seriously; to live in the moment and see the beauty the world truly has to offer. Robin left this earth too soon and it hasn’t been the same without him. His kindness and compassion for others on and off the screen will never go unrecognized, his soul was truly like no other. May he rest in peace.

Lana Del Rey: American Songwriter turned 39 this year, born on June 21st. She is not only known for her beautiful voice, but her encapsulating and relatable song lyrics. Lana’s discography contains 9 studio albums and 38 singles. She was awarded Best Pop Vocal Album in 2017 for Lust for Life and 2019 Song of the Year for Norm F*cking Rockwell. Her most recent album has gotten lots of attention and is even rumored for a potential Grammy nomination. Her 9th studio album “Did You Know There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” is made up of 16 songs with the track “A&W” being the most popular holding 77,745,853 plays on Spotify. In my opinion, Lana is one of the most influential musicians of our generation and her style is truly unmatched, her music hits home and the lyrics move you; it’s no surprise she’s a Cancer.

American rapper Post Malone born on July 4th will be 28 this year. Known for his goofy personality, face tattoos, and his ability to blend genres within his music he has grown a tremendous fanbase. His track “Sunflower” featuring Swae Lee broke record charts for “Highest Certified single in RIAA history”. Austin Richard Post is the name behind the art and his stage name came from an online rap name generator. His funny and carefree personality always kept me intrigued. I have seen him live 3 times and let me tell you none of his performances disappoint.

The sign of the Crab last 32 days so this is nowhere close to all of Hollywood’s amazing Cancers however, these are just some I personally believe needed some recognition. All of these individuals I mentioned had a lot in common, their creativity and passion. They truly thrive in their fields and make a difference while doing it. They all have done such incredible things in their industry, and it’s no doubt that they will continue to make history.
