Lil Uzi Vert has accomplished major career milestones starting at the beginning of this year. Not only did he earn his first Hot 100 #1 with his appearance on “Bad and Boujee”, a track that went four times platinum, but the artist also earned gold plaques for “Too Much Sauce”, and Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World’s “Ps & Qs”. With the singer being named Soundcloud’s “Most Streamed Artist”, it was no surprise when he went platinum with his summer hit “XO Tour Llif3” following “Money longer”, “You Was Right” and Migos chart topper “Bad and Boujee”.
The numbers didn’t stop there for the self-proclaimed rockstar rapper, his single “XO Tour Llif3” and “Money Longer” has officially reached double-platinum, according to the RIAA. The tracks went platinum back in June, adding to Uzi’s collection of plaques. Lil Uzi Vert also explained how it all started on a Beats Pill. Just last month, XXL talked with the producer of “XO Tour Llif3” TM88, he revealed he had to work with what he had to put together the hit. “I had my old computers in Atlanta, and I couldn’t use the speakers because I didn’t have the hook ups,” he said. “And I wanted to make beats so bad, I had a lot in me, I had a lot going on in my head, so I grabbed the Pill, sat down and cooked like a 20 pack. Sent Uzi like 10 or 12 of ‘em, and… ‘XO Tour Llif3.’ Since its release, the track has become a summer anthem. With much anticipation of his newest forthcoming LP, Luv is Rage 2 dropping this summer, we can only expect bigger things from the artist. Therefore, will we expect to see “Luv Is Rage 2” reach platinum numbers?
