From New Line Cinema comes “Annabelle: Creation,” directed by David F. Sandberg who also directed “Lights Out.” If you’re down for the suspense of a good thriller to get into the early spirit of Halloween, Annabelle, the sequel to the Conjuring is one you won’t want to miss.
Since its release on August 11, 2017, This film gathered up $257 million at the worldwide box office throughout its showing in theaters. Annabelle follows as a sequel film produced by Peter Safran and James. This film is based on a true story with a Hollywood twist. The original Annabelle doll looks more similar to a ‘Raggedy Ann’ doll opposed to the Annabelle doll we see in theatres. To this day, the doll still holds its evil tendencies and is kept in a glass box where its blessed so often. However, in “Annabelle: Creation,” we are introduced to a family of 3 who several years later experience a tragic death of their little girl. In desperate attempt to contact their daughter they promise devotion to an evil presence. They quickly realize that this is out of their reach and seek for help. Later in the movie, the husband and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. They soon become the target of the doll maker’s possessed creation, Annabelle. Director David. F Sandberg created a movie that kept its audience on the edge of their seat, this movie has a great story line, plenty of suspense and the fright we are looking for.
