When the temperature begins to drop and the space between fingers are starting to change colors like the leaves, this is an indication that fall is here. To others, this means cuffing season! Now, that being said, there is a lot that goes into a successful season but let’s start with a few albums that will perpetuate the idea of a prosperous few months.
H.E.R., Vol. 1
This album defines soul in the 21st century. With melodies that are slow and full yet mixed with a voice that is soft but meaningful, this album will force you into staring out the window into the rain while texting your ex or sapping to your significant other.
- Wait for It
Trap Soul – Bryson Tiller
This one is almost self-explanatory. The production is a perfect balance featuring hard-hitting 808s, and hi-hats, soulful samples, and slow melodies that almost made me bring out my silk suit. Though he touches on heartbreak on some tracks this album is a cuffing season absolute.
- Been That Way
- Right My Wrongs
Had to save the best for last! The first of many Jhené Aiko/Big Sean collaborative projects….Hopefully! This album is like a storyline featuring the relationships of a couple. The male perspective is rapped over r&b melodies with enough hit to be bumped but with the voice of Jhené. It is smooth enough to be played at dinner or in the bedroom. CHECK THIS OUT IF YOU HAVENT
- ALL. OF. THEM.
